Product Description:

Catalog is a system which allows distributors/wholesalers to provide customers
with a (Catalog) file containing product info and full pricing information.
Also the Catalog file can include tax and delivery cost data, as well as
information about the supplier. This file is supplied to customers (registered
version) with a program allowing the viewing of data, and calculation and
printing of quotes/orders including tax and delivery charges.



There are two programs

(1) cat.exe - this program is used to enter product, tax, your company, and
              delivery cost information. Data can be read in from a text file,
              and prices can be modified individually, by category, or
              globally (useful if all your prices are increased by e.g. 10%).

              This program also creates the Catalog files, which are distributed
              with the second program (ord.exe)

              Catalog files can be wholesale style (with quantity range pricing,
              lot sizes) or simple retail pricing. They can have a use by date
              and password if desired.

(2) ord.exe - this program is supplied to customers (registered version only)
              with the Catalog file, and allows customers to view the product
              information, and create quotes/orders by clicking the mouse on the
              product and entering a quantity. The customer can enter their own
              details which appear on the printed order. The order can also be
              copied and pasted into emails and other documents.

              The customer can specify alternate tax rates and currencies.

              With the registered version you receive an installation disc for
              Order which can be copied and sent out to customers who are
              receiving the Catalog file by disc. For internet delivery, a
              single self executing installation file for Order is also
              provided.


The best way to see what the program can do is to install it by running
install.exe from Program Manager run option (File menu). Then start Catalog
(cat.exe) and press F1 for help. Then go through the "Getting Started" steps.


Both programs (cat.exe & ord.exe) require Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later.

Demo version
------------
The demo version limits the number of products to 100.


Registered version
------------------
- No limit on number of products

- Order installation disc provided (for copying and sending to customers
  with Catalog file).

- Self extracting Order installation file provided (for distributing Order
  installation via download or by email)

- Licence to distribute Catalog files together with copies of the Order
  installation disc or self executing installation program
